Partners:

David works in all areas of IP litigation. He has been involved in patent litigation in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical areas and also has experience in relation to Plant Breeder’s rights. David also provides clients with advice in relation to non-contentious IP matters.

 

Raffaele Calabrese | BEng(Elec&ElectEng) MEng MIP FIPTA

Patent and Trade Marks Attorney | Adelaide

Raffaele has a background in electrical and electronic engineering. He has a Master’s degree in engineering, specialising in information technology and telecommunications. Raffaele has significant professional experience in protecting inventions relating to electronics, ICT, software, FinTech and medical devices.

Dr David Hvasanov | BSc(Hons) PhD MRACI

Patent and Trade Marks Attorney | Sydney

David has experience in drafting and prosecution of patent applications in chemistry and applied chemistry, both in Australia and overseas. He has drafted and prosecuted applications in a range of fields including mining technologies, nanoscale drug delivery systems, plasticisers, paint compositions, pharmaceuticals and cement technologies. David completed his undergraduate degree in nanotechnology with honours at the University of New South Wales, and was awarded the University Medal. He has also completed his PhD, and his work has featured in a number of high-impact journals and has been also awarded the Cornforth Medal.

 

Dr Matthew Overett | BSc (Hons), PhD Chem, MIP

Patent and Trade Marks Attorney | Melbourne

Matthew brings more than a decade of industrial R&D experience to his practice, with particular expertise in catalysis, polymers, composites and coatings, chemical synthesis, oil and gas, and process development. As a scientist, inventor and manager of an industrial patent portfolio, Matthew was involved in fundamental research, development and commercialisation of new technologies for gas-to-liquids processes, on-purpose 1-octene production, and Ziegler alcohols.  Matthew works with both local and international clients to protect their inventions across a diverse range of technologies.
