David is an experienced IP litigator and registered patent and trade marks attorney who brings a technological understanding together with legal expertise to resolve IP disputes for Australian and international businesses.

David practices in all areas of IP and has experience in patent, designs, copyright, trade marks and trade practice matters. He has significant experience in the life sciences field and has been involved in major patent litigation in the chemical, biotechnology and pharmaceutical areas. David’s practice also includes significant brand protection, anti-counterfeiting and trade mark portfolio management for well-known Australian and International brands.

David has a particular interest in plant breeder’s rights and assists breeders and owners to obtain, commercialise and enforce PBR. David has represented PBR clients in infringement proceedings before the Federal Court and in objection and revocation proceedings before Plants Breeder’s Rights Office.

David has been recognised as a leading practitioner in both IAM Patent 1000 2020 and WTR 1000 2020.
