We support our people to be their authentic selves by investing in their ongoing development and providing continued support & access to great opportunities and benefits.

Work & Life

We understand the importance of balancing roles and responsibilities at work, at home and in the community.

We offer flexible hybrid working arrangements for everyone at POF but also appreciate that needs change over time, and one size doesn’t fit all. Empowered by a framework of supportive policies and initiatives, we work with our people to find the right solution.

Learning & Development

We offer professional education and learning at all levels to support career growth, satisfaction, and success.
Our People and Development team offers customised programs that are role specific as well as firmwide that support performance and culture, linked to our capability frameworks.

Our in-house learning programs include:

  • Legal Assistant Program: skill-building in technical IP practice and business support functions, as well as an annual team-building event.
  • Emerging Leaders Program: for future leaders of the firm, to develop business development, financial management and people leadership skills.
  • Partner Development Program: focused on leading in a professional services environment.
  • CPD/CPE Program: covers professional practice and ensure continuing professional development requirements for registration.
  • Performance Management: includes all aspects of the annual performance cycle such as setting goals, giving quality and timely feedback, and preparing for reviews.

In addition to these formal education programs, we connect our people with opportunities to participate in external training, seminars, conferences, professional interest groups and more. Our Training & Education policy provides for funding for any employees undertaking recognised studies towards formal work-related qualifications, as well as approved study leave.
