A five year review

On 15 April 2013, significant changes to Australia’s patent laws were introduced with the Raising the Bar Amendments to the Patents Act 1990.  This broad selection of changes included amendments to the support and disclosure requirements as well as tightened timelines in examination and opposition procedures.  Now that we are five years on from Raising the Bar (RTB), these changes have been making an impact in how patents are construed before the Patent Office and before the courts.

In this presentation, Adrian Crooks and Annabella Newton will review the consequences of these legislative changes and how much the bar has actually been raised, as well as discussing practical tips for navigating this brave, new(ish) post-RTB world.

The duration of the seminar will be approximately 1 hour.
