Australian Fashion Council seeks input in IP and fashion project

The Australian Fashion Council in conjunction with Bond University are seeking creatives in the fashion design sector to participate in an IP & Fashion Project. The project is being undertaken to provide current industry data to IP Australia’s designs review.

Professor William Van Caenegem of Bond University will lead the project which will consist of interviews with 15-20 creatives within the fashion design sector, documenting creative practice with a view to directly inform intellectual property law. The project has been designed to fit in with IP Australia’s current review of the designs law, is manageable in size and can be put into place quickly ensuring, that the output may be used in this review process.

If you are interested in participating or wish to assist with the funding of the project, please contact Dave Giles-Kaye, CEO, Australian Fashion Council (dgileskaye@fashioncouncil.com).
