WIPO has launched a pilot program – WIPO GREEN – a database where companies and others can upload details of technologies for sale or licensing across a broad range of green and sustainable disciplines. The so called green-technology marketplace aims to provide a partnership hub and supporting services to facilitate collaborations, sales, joint ventures, licencing and other forms of technology transfer including know-how and materials.
WIPO GREEN is underpinned by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, with a specific focus on accelerated adaptation, adoption and deployment of environmentally-friendly and sustainable technologies, particularly in developing countries and emerging economies.
