About the role
Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick is currently seeking a qualified patent attorney to join our Engineering team in Sydney or Melbourne.
You will join a dynamic team in an environment that fosters support and collaboration, where you’ll take on challenging and complex projects for leading companies.
You will have:
- A degree in mechanical engineering or related fields (aerospace engineering, etc.)
- Exceptional patent drafting abilities.
- Willingness to engage with existing clients and prospective clients.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Your key responsibilities:
- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and globally.
- Offer commercial IP advice to clients.
- Patent portfolio management for local and international clients.
- Deliver presentations on IP topics internally and externally.
- Engage in networking events, seminars, and business development activities.
