POF recognises ‘R U OK?’ day

On Wednesday 9 September, POF held a morning tea to recognise and promote ‘R U OK? Day’ – a national day to facilitate social awareness and promote meaningful connections at work.

R U OK? Day is a national day of awareness about facilitating connectedness in society, so that those who need help feel they can ask and those who are asked for help know how to respond.

R U OK?  is a really gentle message that is designed to promote meaningful conversations so that people have support networks when times get a bit tough. If you think something’s worrying a friend at work, start a conversation to see if they’re OK.

If they’re not, all you need to do is listen, and then help them think about what can be done to make life easier.

For more information on how to start a conversation that could change a life, or to find out how you can donate, you can visit the website here.
