POF Partner, Chris Schlicht, has won a Client Choice Award for excellence in trade mark protection

POF Partner, Chris Schlicht, is the exclusive winner of the 2014 International Law Office Client Choice Award for ‘Intellectual Property – Trade Marks (Australia)’. Chris received this prestigious award following nominations from his clients, who provided positive reviews of his service and expertise.

The awards recognise and celebrate individuals and law firms around the world that are experts in their field, consistently deliver quality advice and provide excellent customer service that exceeds expectations. Uniquely, it is only possible to be nominated for a Client Choice Award by Corporate Counsel.

Client Choice Award logoThe winners of the Client Choice awards are decided based on several criteria including the quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology. Once shortlists have been determined, nominees are invited to submit five referees, who will then be conducted by the research team for interview.

Chris joined POF in 1991 and is a lawyer, and patent and trade marks attorney. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as a barrister and solicitor in 1991, and became a Partner in 2009. Chris is a member of POF’s Management Committee and is the firm’s Commercial/Litigation Practice Group Leader.

Chris is the current Board Chair of Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick. He has extensive experience in conducting litigation for local and international clients, and has conducted cases concerning the validity and enforcement of patents, trade marks and designs, as well as the obtainment of rights in appeals from the Australian Intellectual Property Office.
