POF is pleased to announce appointments of a new Senior Associate and three new Associates, effective from 1 July 2017.
Our new Senior Associate is:
Dr Jon Wright BSc (1st Class Hons) PhD MIP
Jon has a broad range of expertise across a number of major technical fields including chemistry, medical devices, mechanical engineering, software and business methods. Jon also specialises in inkjet printing technology, micro/nano-fabrication techniques, biosensor related technologies and polymer chemistry. Jon is also a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys (FIPTA).
Our three new Associates are:
Michelle Blythe BBiomed MEng MIPLaw
Michelle is a Biomedical Engineer and her technical speciality lies in medical devices and biomedical technology. She has experience in a number of fields from simple mechanical devices to complex electrical systems. Her focus is on new developments in electrical engineering, ICT and software, biomaterials, medical imaging and tissue engineering, with strengths in electronics and biology.
Dr Leigh Guerin BMedPharmBiotech(Hons) PhD MIP
Leigh has experience with a large range of biomedical technologies such as protein and peptide therapeutics, diagnostics, methods of therapeutic treatment and has a strong research background in immunology and mechanisms of immune tolerance, reproductive technologies and developmental biology.
Dr Annabella Newton MChem(Hons) MCommrclLaw PhD AMRSC MRACI
Annabella has expertise in the chemical sciences, particularly synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry and pharmaceuticals. She works with clients to provide tailored IP advice in line with their commercial objectives. Annabella completed her PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Nottingham and has a wealth of research experience in academia, industry and at CSIRO. Her work has been published in several high-impact journals.
