Ye Rin is a Trade Marks Attorney of our Trade Marks Team based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She holds a dual degree in Law and Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales. She is admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and is a Registered Australian Trade Marks Attorney.

Ye Rin’s work involves all aspects of trade mark matters in Australia, New Zealand and overseas. This includes advising on the availability of trade marks, applying for registration of trade marks, prosecuting trade mark applications, representing in trade mark oppositions and revocations, enforcing trade marks, assigning trade marks and managing trade mark portfolios. She has been involved in proceedings before the Australian Trade Marks Office.

Ye Rin assists many local clients based in Australia, particularly in New South Wales, from start-ups to ASX-listed companies, as well as overseas clients regularly in the retail trade, manufacturing, construction, electronics and medical device industries.

Ye Rin is a Member of IPTA’s Trade Mark Committee and is involved with the Asia Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).

She is also a contributor to Katzarov’s Manual on Industrial Property on its texts for Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Ye Rin is fluent in Korean.
