Patent Attorney

Samuel has been in the IP industry since 2018 and qualified as a patent attorney at a large Australian IP firm. He has experience in drafting and prosecution of patents and designs for a variety of local and overseas clients in the areas of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software, medical devices, and green energy. Samuel has a particular interest in patenting software and navigating the associated patentability challenges.

Samuel has worked in commercial IP advisory in my previous role at Deloitte where he was responsible for leading projects in technology and IP analysis, IP discovery, IP valuation, and IP licencing advice.

Prior to IP, Samuel was a R&D engineer at a dental technology company and was involved in mechanical engineering, software development, and manufacturing. In this role, he authored a journal article regarding the alignment of 3D point clouds captured by dental scanners.
