She advises clients on protecting, managing and commercialising complex technologies across Australia, New Zealand and major overseas jurisdictions.

With more than a decade in intellectual property and a PhD in chemistry, Marianne works with research institutions, scale-ups, established corporates and in-house IP teams across advanced materials, clean technology, pharmaceuticals, formulation chemistry and emerging health technologies. Her practice spans patent drafting and prosecution, oppositions, freedom-to-operate advice and global portfolio strategy.

Marianne has particular experience in materials innovation, including electrochemical materials, polymer systems, coatings, composites and energy technologies, as well as a growing focus on women’s health and FemTech innovation. She regularly advises innovation leaders and R&D teams on aligning patent strategy with commercial objectives, funding pathways and global expansion plans.

Recognised for her technical depth, strategic thinking and clear communication style, Marianne translates complex scientific concepts into practical IP advice that supports long-term commercial value.
