Jacqueline Leong

Prior to relocating to Australia, Jacqueline practised as a trade mark solicitor in the intellectual property team of a leading Malaysian law firm. In this role, she oversaw and prosecuted extensive trade mark portfolios for many well-known global companies, assisted in litigation matters, and worked alongside law enforcement agencies and private investigators on anti-counterfeiting initiatives. She also gained public sector experience as Federal Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia and contributed her time as a legal aid volunteer with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Since qualifying as an Australian Trade Mark Attorney in 2013, Jacqueline has accumulated over a decade of experience advising both domestic and international clients on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious trade mark matters. Her work spans a wide range of industries, including automotive, defence, food and beverage, manufacturing and entertainment.

Jacqueline’s practice focuses on the protection, enforcement and defence of trade mark rights, as well as the strategic development and management of trade mark portfolios across Australia and globally. She is particularly experienced in handling complex portfolio prosecution and enforcement matters involving multi-jurisdictional considerations.
