Andrew is the Managing Partner of Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick and is part of our Engineering group, practicing in the mechanical and civil engineering fields.
Andrew commenced with Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick in 1989 and now has over 30 years’ experience in the IP industry, following two years’ industrial experience as an engineer in the packaging industry.
Andrew acts for a broad range of local and international clients and has extensive experience in the filing and securing of patent and design rights through throughout the world and in providing infringement and strategic advice. Andrew’s clients are mainly active in the mining, packaging, medical device, construction, defence and manufacturing industries.
Andrew remains actively involved in AIPPI Australia, which is the Australian chapter of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property including as President of the AIPPI Australian from 2013 to 2017. This continued involvement allows him to stay at the forefront of local and international developments in IP.
As Managing Partner, Andrew provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the firm, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.
