Apple has been successful in its Domain Name Complaint (WIPO) in respect of iphone5.com.

Recently, Apple Computer, Inc. filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) in respect of the domain name “iphone5.com” (see our previous blog post here).

UPDATE: Apple has been successful in its Domain Name Complaint (WIPO) in respect of iphone5.com. This has resulted in the domain name being transferred to Corporation Service Company, which is a brand protection agency apparently working for Apple Computers, Inc.

The WIPO UDRP Domain Name Decision list indicates that complaint D2012-0951 by Apple Computer, Inc for the domain name iphone5.com has been finalised resulting in the termination of the domain name registration to the previous registrant.  The decision has yet to be published.

Visiting www.iphone5.com now brings up a blank page, gone is the previous discussion forum that was hosted there.
