An Enforcement Authorities’ perspective on anti-counterfeiting

On Thursday 15 October, POF will be hosting a half-day seminar on anti-counterfeiting at our new offices at 333 Collins Street, Melbourne. We are fortunate to be joined by an impressive line-up of speakers including by The Hon Jane Garrett MP, the Victorian Minister for Consumer Affairs, Gaming & Liquor Regulation, and representatives from Hong Kong Customs, Australian Border Force, and NSW Fair Trading. Each speaker will present on their respective roles and actions in relation to anti-counterfeiting. The seminar is intended to provide a platform for the exchange of best practices in the fight against counterfeiting.

The seminar will be held in conjunction with REACT, a leading anti-counterfeiting organisation headquartered in Europe. Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick Lawyers is the exclusive partner of REACT and the seminar will be held for REACT members, authorities and POF clients involved in the fight against counterfeiting. REACT is a European not-for-profit organisation with over 20 years’ experience in fighting counterfeit trade, consisting of almost 200 Member global companies affected by counterfeiting and piracy.
