Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick Lawyers (POFL’s) services go beyond helping you secure and protect intellectual property (IP) rights. The team can assist you with many other aspects of running your business, from preparing agreements, to helping you comply with privacy, competition and consumer law requirements.

We have a dedicated group of commercial lawyers, who can provide you with advice on IP contracts and commercialisation, as well as on many other business law issues.

Sales and licensing agreements can be complex and challenging, and we recognise the importance of having solid agreements in place to both protect and enhance your IP rights. Achieving the best commercial outcome requires the right balance of due diligence into all relevant aspects of the proposed transaction, negotiation of critical terms and conditions, and drafting excellence to produce documentation that is clear, certain, anticipates risks and limits future disputes between the parties.

Our IP lawyers have extensive expertise in drafting, negotiating and settling licensing and technology transfer agreements, as well as interpreting, defending and enforcing agreed rights. We will work closely with you to understand your overall business objectives, taking into account your due diligence priorities, IP strategy, licensing and technology transfer strategy, preferred IP portfolio management approach, and how we can partner with you to achieve those objectives
