Patent and Trade Marks Attorney

David joined the firm in 1983, but took a hiatus to work in the Intellectual Property Department of ICI Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca) in England during 1986-1987.

David’s current practice involves patent drafting, prosecution and pharmaceutical extension of term and opposition work. He specialises in pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, mineral processing and other chemical related patents.

David is a senior fellow of the Faculty of Law at Melbourne University, where he lectures in Patent Systems and Interpretation and Validity of Patent Specifications. He is also a Council Member for the Institute of Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys (IPTA). He has been identified in the ALB Intellectual Property Law Guide (March 2009) for his chemistry intellectual property work.
