About me
David joined the firm in 1983 but took a hiatus to work in the Intellectual Property Department of ICI Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca) in England during 1986/87.
David became a Partner of Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick in 1993.
David’s current practice involves patent drafting, prosecution, pharmaceutical extension of term and opposition work, particularly in the areas of pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, mineral processing and other chemical related areas.
David is currently involved in education and is a Senior Fellow of the Faculty of Law of Melbourne University and lectures in Patent Practices, concentrating on subjects including pharmaceutical extension of term, patent restoration and patent opposition.
David has been identified in the ALB Intellectual Property Law Guide (March 2009) for his chemistry IP work.
