The health and well-being of all POF staff is assured through a number of programs and policies, including:
> A 35 hour working week - where a normal working day is seven hours. While there will be times that workloads will exceed these hours, considerable time and effort is dedicated towards resource planning to ensure all staff enjoy the benefit of a 35 hour working week.
> Flexible Work Arrangements – where staff are unable to work full-time or regular hours or wish to pursue other goals that are important to their health and well-being. At these times, whenever practicable, they are able to structure their work life to cater for these needs, subject to business needs.
> Paid Parental Leave – which aims to support the continuation of work-life balance for new parents. A new family addition is a challenging and exciting time for anyone, and POF want to ensure that new parents are able to enjoy the experience to its fullest, secure in the knowledge that their ongoing participation with the firm is secure.
> Health & Well-Being Program – involving a range of healthy activities, on-site to assist staff achieve a healthy work-life balance. The program includes health checks, workplace seminars and workshops as well as social events.

> Continuing professional education/development - an annual program providing a range of educational opportunities including lectures, formal training programs and seminars.

We have a range of activities to ensure health and well-being which all our staff are able to participate in including:
> Regular Social Activities – allows staff to take time out with the people who they spend most of their working life with – their colleagues. These activities include morning teas, healthy lunches and after work events.
> Free Confidential Counselling Service – to support staff through difficult times, whether they are personal or work related. Staff, and their immediate families, have access to the services of a completely independent, professional, confidential and free short term counselling service.
> Life/Salary Continuance Insurance Benefits - provides support to staff and their families in times of need.
> Continuous Improvement – for better and more efficient work practices and systems such as the move towards a true paperless office work environment with the development of POF’s Electronic Document Management System.
