Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick is one of Australia’s largest and most progressive firms of Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys. Established in 1888, we employ more than 140 people in offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a team player with solid technical skills to join our Melbourne office as a Trainee Patent Attorney.
You will be degree qualified in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, perhaps at a higher degree level. A law degree would assist your application, but is not essential. With strong analytical ability, and good communication skills, both written and verbal, your professional and assertive approach will ensure you excel within the firm.
Whilst the successful applicant will be exposed to an impressive local and international client base, experience with business development activities, willingness to take on “presentation” opportunities and demonstrated client handling skills will be essential attributes. Working alongside a team of individuals with outstanding IP expertise, the candidate will have excellent opportunity for continuing professional and technical development as well as the attainment of business acumen and management skills.
This is a great opportunity for exceptional training and development, including full access to the firm’s training and education support policy to undertake IP studies to gain registration as a patent attorney. For a challenging opportunity to kick start your career with one of Australia's leading patent and trade mark attorney firms apply now!
