Competition to find the best new Australian products and innovations |

| Inventors can compete to have their product judged as the “Next Big Thing” through an award launched by INNOVIC, the Victorian state government-supported invention organisation. The 2006 Next Big Thing Award is a nation-wide competition to find and showcase new Australian innovations. The award celebrates and promotes Australian innovation and is a key event of the 2006 Australian Innovation Festival. This is the award’s second year. Innovators can win a share of over $11,500 in cash and prizes, with the winner taking home a cash prize of $5,000. Finalists will be exhibited during May at the Centre for Innovation and Technology Commercialisation. Application forms can be downloaded at www.innovic.com.au/nextbigthing. Entries close at 5pm on Friday 17 March and cost $20. Winners will be announced on Friday 27 May as the crowing event of the Australian Innovation Festival. |
