Comp to find best new Australian products - Phillips Ormonde & Fitzpatrick

Competition to find the best new Australian products and innovations

15 February, 2006

Inventors can compete to have their product judged as the “Next Big Thing” through an award launched by INNOVIC, the Victorian state government-supported invention organisation.

The 2006 Next Big Thing Award is a nation-wide competition to find and showcase new Australian innovations. The award celebrates and promotes Australian innovation and is a key event of the 2006 Australian Innovation Festival. This is the award’s second year.

Innovators can win a share of over $11,500 in cash and prizes, with the winner taking home a cash prize of $5,000. Finalists will be exhibited during May at the Centre for Innovation and Technology Commercialisation.

Application forms can be downloaded at www.innovic.com.au/nextbigthing. Entries close at 5pm on Friday 17 March and cost $20.

Winners will be announced on Friday 27 May as the crowing event of the Australian Innovation Festival.
