The group has a wealth of experience in patents in all of the traditional biotechnology areas and is constantly targeting new biotechnology frontiers. Members of the department have research and patent experience in biochemistry, bioinformatics, proteomics, microarrays, drug delivery, medical devices, microbiology, cell biology, immunology, genomics, pharmacology virology molecular biology and physiology.

The Biotechnology department can provide patent drafting and prosecution services, opposition and patent litigation, strategic patent advice for the Australian and overseas markets, IP audits and advice relating to the commercialization of your products and ideas. With years of combined IP experience, research experience and industrial and commercial experience, the group is well equipped to fully understand you, your IP needs and familiarise and describe your biotechnology projects to maximise their intrinsic commercial value.
