 Avoid AU Patent Fee Increase – Act before August 1 |

| The Australian Patent Office is increasing many patent fees as from 1 August 2010. Although the increases are generally modest ($50 or less per item), the renewal fees in the final years of a patent are more substantial. If an action on which a fee is payable is due on or after August 1 then the increase can be avoided by taking the action before that date. Trade mark and design fees are not being changed. |
